The BRICS+ Universities Association (BUA) and the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST) have officially launched a strategic partnership to strengthen international academic and research collaboration.
The BRICS+ Universities Association is an international alliance of higher education institutions from BRICS+ countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates), BRICS Partner Countries, and other nations interested in BRICS+ higher education. Founded in 2023, BUA is committed to fostering collaboration and innovation among its member institutions, promoting excellence in higher education, research, and cultural exchange while addressing global challenges through joint initiatives.
The Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST) is a comprehensive science policy research center operating under the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran. As the largest research center in the country, IROST focuses on developing science and technology to support economic progress. Its core mission includes conducting world-class applied and developmental research, facilitating technology transfer and commercialization, and training a new generation of innovative young scientists. IROST also serves as Iran's national focal point for several international organizations, creating opportunities for Iranian researchers and postgraduate students to participate in global scientific programs.
